Merry Christmas - Love the Perrys

Since I'm absolutely terrible at getting a Christmas card out this year (and last), here's my digital card for everyone.

Well, 2014 started with a bang when one minute before midnight, Clayton found our basement flooded from an overflowing toilet. We spent the first hours of our new year sucking up gallons and gallons of water out of the carpet and trying to get things cleaned up. We didn't feel like our year was off to a great start, but it ended up being one of the best of our lives.

In January, the company I work for took us on a cruise to the Bahamas. It was a blast, and we were so grateful to get a free vacation so early in our year. It was a ton of fun!

Then, in February, a miracle happened and we found out we were pregnant after four years and thousands spent on fertility treatments. I remember getting the call from the doctor that our blood test was positive and calling Clayton to tell him he was going to be a dad. This little tiny dot on an ultrasound at 6 weeks ended up being the best part of our year.

Miss Annabeth Marie was born on November 23 after a long labor, and we couldn't be happier with our little bundle of joy. This new member of our family sure was worth the wait. (I'll try to get a birth announcement out soon...)

Clayton started a new job working at Zions Bancorp in Risk Management a few months ago, and he loves working there. He's also working with the youth at church and is loving his new Xbox One he got for Christmas

I'm working at Inside Out still, though I'm working at home right now while I hang out with Annabeth. I also work with the youth at church, and I'm pretty excited about my new Legos I got for Christmas (They are so cool!).

We're so grateful for all the love and support we've received this year from family and friends, and we hope you all have a great year in 2015!

My cruise!

Well, everyone keeps asking to see pictures. Personally, I secretly hate looking at other people on fun vacation in warm and beautiful places while I'm stuck in cold, cold Utah, but I guess everyone wants to see these pictures, so here ya go!

First, we got stuck on a plane and almost missed our transfer...but eventually we got to Miami. We stayed in the Breakwater hotel right on the middle of busy South Beach, which was loud and booming till 3 or 4 in the morning. It was definitely.... an experience. South Beach isn't really our kind of place. The airboat tour in the everglades was awesome though! Here's some pics in Miami.

Here we are stuck on a plane without food or drinks or being allowed to get off the plane. Awesome.

That's our awesome airboat!

Here's a video of the airboat tour. I'm glad Clayton recorded it since I couldn't see much with the wind in my eyes.

Here's the beach...the least lovely of all the beaches we saw.

That's our giant non-alcoholic drink. There was a guy who sat down at a table next to us and asked the waiter to get whatever we were having. The waiter said, "Their drink doesn't have alcohol," to which the guy said, "Oh, I definitely want alcohol."

This was our hotel...it had an awesome rain shower. Now I've decided I need one! Unfortunately, it was right in the middle of South Beach (Breakwater Hotel), so it was loud. The music didn't stop until 3 AM! Right outside our window was a little courtyard with a life band and bar-type place. We were four floors up, and the room still shook from all the noise.

Finally! We made it on the cruise!

Goodbye Florida!

I slept a lot on the ship...

Hello Grand Turk!

I also slept on the beach...

Hello Half Moon Cay! The sand at this place was AMAZING!

And finally... Hello Nassau! This was obviously our favorite place ever!

Do you see that tube with the people in it? We went through that tube. You go down a completely dark slide and then on a lazy river through a shark tank. It was sweet!

The Atlantis aquarium...you know after we swam in the SWEET water park... was also super cool!

Look how huge those things are!

Yeah...Clayton wants to be king.

On the way home, we went up to the top deck and looked out to see these other ships going back to Florida too. Look how dark it is, and then there's these ships with a ton of lights!

Here are all our friends. Thanks to our amazing room cleaners who somehow always remembered our names.

Yes...that's the TSA agents in the Miami airport obviously paying so much attention to the threatening people.
