Saturday after Thanksgiving

We started off the evening with Thanksgiving dinner #2 with the Perry clan. Then, we went to Temple square to see the Christmas lights with Nicole and Spence and Marissa.

Thanksgiving Day

Unfortunately, I have no pictures for Thanksgiving Day. That's what I get for not carrying my camera everywhere with me.  I also have no pictures of the day after Thanksgiving, but that's okay because all we did was go shopping.

Thanksgiving #1 (Wednesday)

On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, we went out with all of Clayton's friends.  We went to Buca di Beppo and then to Temple square with everyone.

Halloween

So Halloween came and went...and I forgot to upload pictures. Here is some of the food we made.

We did pumpkins with our friends...but I forgot to take more pictures so you only get to see Brandon and Veronica.
This was the pumpkin that Clayton and I carved.

Good news/bad news situation

So the good news/bad news situation is this:

I applied at Deseret Book for a publishing internship for next semester.

  • Deseret Book emailed me and asked me to come take an in-house editing test because they liked my resume.
  • Deseret Book first wanted me to come in this Friday, you know while Angela is here and the day before I throw Marianne's baby shower and the same day that I have all sorts of tests in my classes....
  • I emailed Deseret Book to say that I couldn't come Friday.  They emailed and asked me to come Monday.  It's okay; it's not like I have a few essays due that day since my teachers were hoping to get it out of the way before the Thanksgiving break starts.  And it's not like I'm going to drive four hours down to Salt Lake and four hours back on Sunday just to make the drive again Tuesday night....
  • The other bad news is that if I actually get the internship, I would be super happy to have a paid publishing internship.  That would somehow make me feel like I am the "best of the best" considering paid internships in my major just don't exist.  It would be bad because I would have to live by myself in Salt Lake City next semester while Clayton lives in Boise....anyone have any great suggestions?

Job

Today I had a practice interview....which simply proved how unmarketable I really am.  However, the guy really liked my resume.  He kept telling me things I should have in it...until he would look at it and realize it was already there.  Awesome.  Maybe next week in Chicago I will now be able to get a job....They aren't legally allowed to ask if I am trying to get pregnant anyway, right?

Shakespeare Trip

My class went to the Utah Shakespeare festival this weekend. It was a ton of fun. Here are the pictures!

This is our super shady hotel...we were pretty sure Emma was going to be killed by the ghost in our room.  We know there was a ghost because there were blood stains all down the side of her box-spring.

That is one of the teachers and his daughter who came on the trip with us.  They were so cute together.

Those are the three plays we saw.

That's right...I met Shakespeare.

There was a this pumpkin festival for children at the campus that day.  Someone was giving our balloon creations.  We got some.  I was killing people all day.

Emma and Kayla got little turtle balloons.
This was our code of arms.

We went to some random ward.  They had a primary program that was wonderful. We all learned giving people cookies and flowers is a part of the Plan of Salvation.

Snow and babies

So, on October 6, it snowed. This is what it looked like. And that is Rexburg for you.

Then, last weekend, both Clayton's Aunt Enid and my friend Stacy had their babies at the hospital, on the same day.  Anyway, we went to see them.  This was in Enid's hospital room. She had a baby girl named Lindsey Anne Jacobson.

Here we are in Stacy's hospital room. She had a baby boy named Tobin Charles Emmons.
