Don't worry everyone. We haven't died. We just...you know... got busy? It's only been like a year...or so...be patient. All good things come in time. Like my Christmas card that I didn't send out for the last year or two. So instead, you can all read about us here.
Anyway, here's what has happened in the last year of our lives. Maybe I'll get better at updating everyone in the future when I get... less busy? So maybe it won't ever happen, but oh well.
We moved to Salt Lake, but everyone already knows that. Clayton still works at Zions, though they are moving his department down to Sandy at the beginning of the year. No more carpooling before and after work to downtown, and no more seeing beautiful Christmas lights all Christmas long from his office window, and no more dinner at Cheesecake Factory right after work because we are already there. That will be disappointing. Did I forget to mention that Clayton got a promotion and is now doing, more or less, his dream job because he gets to play with spreadsheets all day long? Other than that, Clayton's life is pretty much the same as always. (By the way, he really likes that new king-sized bed.)
Me? Well, I'm pretty boring, though it may not appear that way on paper. I lost my job at Adworkz in May and got a new job about a week later working for he-who-must-not-be-named. Yeah. That's how much I liked it. It was a very small web design company with people who have no idea how to run a company, and it was the worst few months of my life. Eventually, I lost that job (due to the main client being dropped, or at least that's what they told me. I'm pretty sure they just didn't want to fire me because they are weaklings). A week later, I started my new, perfect job at Inside Out. Pretty much the best job ever, and I have no idea why they hired me. It's definitely where the Lord wants me to be right now, though I have no idea why. Maybe because he wants me to be happy? And I was ward girls camp director this year, so that took up a good portion of my life this summer.
In other news, we bought a house in December. It's a large and spacious building, so feel free to visit whenever you like. I can't guarantee I'll have time off work to visit (or breakfast, as Angela and Ryan will attest), but there's a room and a bed with your name on it. And I usually remember to think up some kind of dinner for everyone. Clayton and I get to go on a cruise to the Bahamas in a few weeks, courtesy of my company bringing me on the company trip. Then there is Christmas next week, you know, for anyone in the world who celebrates Christmas, so I guess that has nothing to do with me in particular. Then there were the other miscellaneous trips we took all year for weddings and ... well just for weddings really. We went to a lot of weddings this year. Two in Spokane, one in Arizona, four here in Salt Lake. Apparently this was the year of weddings.
Anyway, there's nothing else I can think of that really matters in our lives, so Merry Christmas until next year.
Here's some miscellaneous photos from the year. Check them out!
